Gathering: Indigenous Women Stand United
Saturday, January 5, 2013 1:00pm
Calling all women, all nations, Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, Sisters, Daughters and our Brothers, Uncles, Grandfathers, Sons will stand with us.
This is a peaceful gathering of Indigenous women, standing united, showing our support for the Idle No More Movement, and for Chief Theresa Spence.
There will be a symbolic meeting with our relatives from Bellingham side… as a symbol that both sides of the border are in support of justice for our people, as a sign of support for Idle No More, and as a symbol that both sides support Chief Theresa Spence.
We will have a moment of silence, and an elder to do a prayer for our people, and for Chief Spence.
All Welcome! Our men, women, families, allies, friends.
Please bring signs, banners, drums, rattles, regalia,
Hychka to all and very important to remember that this is not a blockade but a symbolic gesture, a show of support.. and a prayer ceremony.
