PICNIC – CELEBRATE I-1329 CAMPAIGN EFFORT

Please join us at a campaign celebration picnic at Deception Pass State Park:  July 12, Sat 11:30am – 3:00pm

We need time to celebrate and re-energize….I hope you will stop by and meet other volunteers at a picnic for our 4 counties this Saturday at Deception Pass. This is a beautiful park that’s worth exploring with your family. We’ll have a double umbrella table area in the Bowman Bay section of the part (see map below) or download and print out the directions here. We’ll have a variety of drink options and chairs already setup. We’ll have croquet, bocce ball and frizbee action. Feel free to bring a sack lunch or something to share for lunch.

Washington state parks now require a daily pass if you use the parking areas near facilities. We’ll have 10 shareable car day passes that people can use for an hour and then pass on to the next car that arrives for the picnic. You can also park for free near the park and walk down to our picnic area. There is free Island County bus service from March’s Point (near Anacortes) to the Park which leaves March’s Point at 10:40 or 12:40 and returns to March Point at 2:20 and 4:20. Check out the travel directions for more information. If you want to carpool just reply to this email with your phone number and I will send a list of those interested back to those folks by Thursday night.
