RALLY for HEALTHY BELLINGHAM

Occupy Bellingham has joined with  with UFCW, SEIU, Teamsters, The NW WA Central Labor Council, Jobs with Justice, and Community to Community to create Healthy Bellingham, which is working toward passing a Paid Sick leave policy for the City of Bellingham businesses.

Goals:

• Protect public health by allowing workers to act responsibly and stay home when sick or a sick child or family member needs their care – without losing income.

• Promote economic prosperity by increasing economic stability for workers and their families, encouraging a more productive and stable workforce, and supporting business growth.
