The Image above shows a map of Florida after a 20 meter rise in sea level. More than half of Florida would be be under the sea, along with the Bahamas.

An article by Chris Mooney | Thu Jan. 31, 2013 3:02 AM PST | was published in Mother Jones 6 days ago and is being widely republished. You can read this article, titled

At this link, viewers can see the effect of different sea level increases at the highly populated places listed at the top of the image above, where you can see that I chose Florida and 20 meters of sea level increase to create the image.

20 meters is approximately 65 feet

On Feb. 17 350.org is holding a rally titled "Forward on Climate". I understand that Rising Sea Levels is a major aspect of this Climate discussion.
I would like and I know of others that would like to do something in support and solidarity of this action. It will be on the agenda at this Fridays G.A. Hope to hear lots of suggestions for this and I'm sure many in Bellingham would like a chance to stand and be counted on this vital issue.

Thanks Terry for the discussion. Can't get what Herb has in the start up of this discussion but have looked at the posting on the front page. I have an idea of what Backbone campaign is planning and will bring that information to the GA. I am trying to reach ReSources to see what Power Past Coal might be planing but they are out today. We will definitely have it on the agenda for Friday.
